Trenchless TechnologIES

The graphics below show the latest drilling methods used for trenchless installation of pipelines without the need for traditional excavation methods. The technologies presented are: Direct Pipe, HDD horizontal drilling and microtunneling. These services are ideal for projects requiring drilling under obstacles such as: rivers, roads, highways, railways, urban areas or protected areas, minimizing land disturbance.

Preparation Works for Direct Pipe

Preparing access roads and the construction site is one of the first steps of project. Their correct preparation and planning allows for better operational efficiency.

The delivered steel sheet piles from which the loading chamber is constructed are unloaded using a crane.

Material Transport

Before construction begins, the necessary materials, elements and equipment are transported to harden and prepare the site for the heavy machines performing the drilling.

Direct Pipe

It is the most modern technology of trenchless installation of steel pipelines, enabling one-stage installation. It combines the advantages of microtunneling with HDD.

Sending Chamber with Pipe Thruster

The chamber contains the "heart of the system" - the pushing press (Pipe Thruster). This innovative pushing frame with a pushing force of 500 tons is clamped to the surface of the pipeline, in a way that is safe for the installed pipeline and its insulation, allowing for a single-stage installation of the pipeline.

Drilling Trajectory

This technology enables work at shallow depths with relatively little cover above the installed pipeline.

Cutting Head

This is a head with a disc used for breaking up the ground, allowing the material to be carried outside the borehole. By rotating the cutting head, stones or obstacles entering the crusher cone are crushed to a grain size suitable for transport.

HDD Technology

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is a trenchless technology for underground networks, performed in three stages. It allows trenchless installation up to 3000 m.

The Horizontal Drilling Rig is used to drill a borehole and install a pipeline in the following stages: pilot drilling, ground reaming with calibration and pipeline installation.

The installation involves pulling the product pipe into a stable drill hole prepared in subsequent stages.

Temporary support structure for the pipeline being installed.

Microtunnelling

It involves remote tunneling with a special microtunneling head with a full cutting disc, while simultaneously inserting jacking pipes that create a finished pipeline.
