The G-Term Energy Geotermia Stargard installation currently has 7 geothermal wells in operation:
- 2 production: Stargard GT-6 and GT-7,
- 5 absorption: Stargard GT-1, GT-2, GT-3, GT-4, GT-5.
Of this number, UOS Drilling S.A., a company belonging to the UOS Group, drilled 5 wells in 2016–2020:
- 2 production (Stargard GT-6 and GT-7),
- 3 absorption (Stargard GT-3, GT-4, GT-5).
Innovative connection with the municipal heating system
The current installation in Stargard stands out with its unique and effective solution in terms of integration with the municipal heating system. Geotermia Stargard, as an independent entity, cooperates with the municipal heating network operator – PEC Stargard. Together they provide heat to the residents of Stargard.
Cooperation in the summer
In the summer, PEC boilers are switched off and the entire return flow of network water goes through Geotermia Stargard. During this period, network water has a temperature of about 40–50°C.
Cooperation in the heating season
During the heating season, network water is directed to a heat exchanger, where it is heated to a temperature of 65–90°C, and then returns to PEC, which gives it the required network parameters.
The key to success – quality and experience
The example of Geotermia Stargard shows that properly performed drilling – in accordance with the art of drilling, using the latest technical knowledge and supported by many years of experience of the contractor – is the basis for achieving the assumed heating goals.
Thanks to the professional approach and quality of workmanship, these drillings fulfill their tasks, providing effective and stable energy.
Additional possibilities of using heat
It is worth emphasizing that the surplus of heat produced can be successfully used for other purposes, such as:
- heating greenhouses,
- powering water parks.
Examples of such applications can be found in Termy in Uniejów and Białka Tatrzańska, where surplus geothermal heat contributes to the diversified and efficient use of energy.
Geothermal Energy – an Investment in the Future
Innovative solutions in Stargard are an inspiring example of how geothermal energy can be effectively integrated with the municipal heating system, while also offering the potential to develop other applications. Investments in geothermal energy can achieve energy efficiency, stability of supply and reduced environmental impact.
